The right to place ads there can only be obtained by those owners of real estate where at least half of the housemates have given their consent to this, Investor.bg writes.
These amendments to the Tourism Law were initiated by the deputies of the Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria (GERB) party. The changes will affect homeowners in Sofia and other large cities in Bulgaria. The innovations do not affect the owners of real estate in the sea and mountain resorts of the country.
In December 2019, the Bulgarian authorities adopted a law on liability for short-term rental housing without registration. All apartments, rooms and guest houses must be in the bases of municipalities and be included in the National Tourist Register.
Previously, Bulgaria, along with Spain, Turkey, Italy and the United States, entered the list of countries where Russians most often buy real estate. Also Bulgaria is becoming more attractive for Russian investors due to the decline in housing prices.
