In the first half of 2019, the demand for joint rental housing grew significantly in four major cities of Russia. This was reported to "Lente.ru" in the company "Avito Real Estate".
In Krasnoyarsk, the number of such requests in the first half of 2019 increased by 85 percent, in Izhevsk - by 45 percent, in Barnaul - by 26 percent, in Nizhny Novgorod - by 24 percent. An insignificant increase in demand for rent with a share was observed in Rostov-on-Don and Novosibirsk: plus 1 and plus 4 percent, respectively.

The main motive for the desire for communal life on the part of the residents of these cities is the savings on rent. “The cost of joint rent has decreased, while the rent of a separate one-room apartment has grown significantly over the year (...)

Renting an apartment is almost half the price, and a room in an apartment where there are already other tenants is almost five times cheaper than renting a separate house, ”the company’s materials provided to the editorial office say.
Avito calculated that rent with sharing in an apartment with other residents is most popular in Moscow and St. Petersburg - residents of these cities receive, respectively, 30 and 10 percent of all requests in the country.

Earlier, the company noted a significant increase in rental prices in Moscow: the average rental rate for a one-room apartment for the first time in the entire history of observations exceeded 35 thousand rubles per month. On average in the country, rented apartments have risen in price by 4 percent over the year.
